The Hardness Tester for Mastic Asphalt is primarily used for the purpose of ascertaining the hardness number for floors made using mastic asphalt.
Technical Specification
The machine comprises of cabinet which is internally insulted along the base and is affixed with a water bath which has two taps. the bah is made to heat with the help of immersion heater, whereas the temperature is controlled with the aid of thermostat 35°C ±0.5°C. A 6.5mm dia pin that is loaded on the specimen by the lever approximately 31.7kg weight. Also, a dial gauge measuring 0.01 x 25 mm in size is supplied for recording the penetration of a certain pin within the sample.
