Standard Tar Viscometer is mainly used for the purpose of ascertaining the viscosity of the road oil and cut back bitumen. The viscometer comprises of a copper bath which is chrome plated and comes with a driven valve along with central tube. The central tube is used for receiving the test cup and for positioning the stirrer.   

Technical Specification

The central tube comes mounted in a stand which has a leveling feet. The stirrer comes with a curved shield and it includes a n insulated handle, swivel support for the valve along with the thermometer socket.

Moreover the tar viscometer also includes a 10mm cup and ball valve or 4mm cup along with a ball valve according to requirement. it is also features an electrical heater equipped with dimmerstat to control the temperature and immersion heating elements.
