GENERAL INFORMATION
DLC Vibrating Hammer (Dry Lean Concrete Vibrating Hammer), used in civil engineering labs, particularly for road and pavement quality testing. Additionally, compaction of concrete cubes of 150mm & 100mm is done with the help of the equipment.
working of DLC Vibrating Hammer
Purpose:
The DLC Vibrating Hammer is used to compact dry lean concrete (DLC) specimens in laboratory moulds to simulate site compaction conditions, as required in rigid pavement construction.
As compared to impact hammering, the vibratory hammer is found as much quick method. The hammer comes along with 1 shank, and 1 tamping feet. Moreover, the equipment is also used for ascertaining the relative measures of the mixing water that which flows from the sample of newly mixed concrete.
Applications:
-
Preparation of compacted cube or cylindrical DLC specimens.
-
Evaluation of compressive strength of DLC.
-
Laboratory trials for pavement mix designs.
